The innovative EonCoat prevents costly equipment breakdown and production downtime while maximizing personnel safety. Pipelines, tubing, and equipment are subject to the punishing effects of chemicals, hydrocarbons and salt water, necessitating corrosion protection. Traditional paints and polymers currently used in the oil field are organic compounds. Exposure to heat, sunlight and the passage of time causes all carbon chains and thus all polymers, including polymer paints and coatings, to break down. Because EonCoat is inorganic and has no carbon chains it does not break down, therefore lasting longer than polymer coatings. EonCoat is a preferred specified coating for oil field equipment due to the following properties:
